Main Street Trellis
Designed, secured funding for, and constructed a decorative trellis that connects Main Street to a rear municipal parking lot. The goal of this project is to beautify the area, and encourage more pedestrian traffic through the alleyway. The trellis features an amazing piece of artwork by Rich Teller, a local wood carver. This artwork, designed by Ryan Rosenberg, features a train/turret “medallion” that reminds passersby as to why Hightstown is historic – its ties to early transportation and period architecture.
The project will be ongoing through 2010, with the addition of stain, lighting, and climbing vines.
