Holiday Window Decorating Contest

Downtown Hightstown’s 4th Annual Holiday Storefront & Window Decorating Contest is back, with an exciting twist this year! We’ve recruited teams of Hightstown High School and Peddie School art students to paint a selection of windows of downtown businesses with holiday themes. This approach engages students and their families in our downtown business district, generates positive publicity for the town, and promotes a festive holiday spirit while promoting art and community participation. It also fosters the small-town feeling we strive to recreate; some of you might remember similar contests from your own childhood. Successful downtown districts such as Freehold have hosted similar events, and we’re excited about bringing it to Hightstown.

We would like to thank all the artists, teachers, administrators, and business owners who have participated in this project. We are very happy to have this opportunity to showcase the artistic abilities of our local students and look forward to working in partnership with schools and businesses to build a better Hightstown. Please join us Thursday, Dec. 8th from 6-9pm, for the award ceremony by the “Fountain at the Point” in the downtown for holiday music and treats, a visit from Santa, raffle and horse-drawn carriage rides.
